Phoenix canariensis

 

The Canary Island Date Palm is a majestic, slow-growing evergreen tree with a sturdy trunk and a lush green, rounded crown featuring up to 100 elegantly arching feather-like fronds. Each pinnate leaf can reach up to 15 feet (450 cm) in length and is made up of numerous slender leaflets. It is cold-hardy down to 20 degrees.
