Louisianna Iris 'Black Gamecock'

This award-winning iris is a Louisiana native with a deep purple bloom that is hard to miss.  In early to midsummer, a dark flower will bloom and grow up to half a foot wide. It is a variety that makes a huge statement and is perfect for boggy areas where other plants are too temperamental to prosper. Iris 'Black Gamecock' will feel right at home near a water feature or in a naturalized meadow.
