Rhododendron atlanticum 'Marydel'

 

The 'Marydel' Coast Azalea, selected by the talented plantswoman Polly Hill of Massachusetts, is a variety of the native Coast Azalea. Its fragrant blossoms start as deep pink buds and transition to a pink-tinged white in April. This deciduous plant is tolerant of wet conditions.
