Japanese Yew leaves are linear in shape with a simple arrangement, featuring a glossy, waxy texture. They typically measure between one to three inches long and less than an inch wide. The shrub's stems start off green and delicate but gradually become woody as they mature. In winter, its foliage may shift to yellow or reddish-brown tones.
