Purple Fountain grass gets its name from the elegant, arching spikes of purplish flowers that spray gracefully from its cluster of long, slender, burgundy leaves. It grows quickly and is ideal for planting in spring. In autumn, its seed heads are especially striking and make a lovely addition to fall flower gardens. Cold hardy to about 20 degrees.
