Despite its name, the sago palm isn’t actually a true palm tree. These low-growing plants with long green fronds belong to the cycad family, an ancient group of tropical and subtropical plants. They typically grow from a single unbranched trunk, producing nuts but no flowers or fruit. Cold hardy to 15 degrees.
